In health, Journal, Working

Last Friday I went to a beautiful place called Winchester to meet a wonderful organisation doing really amazing work, FixersUK. Fixers are young people using their past to fix the future. They are motivated by personal experience to make positive change for themselves and those around them.  Fixers choose the issue they want to fix and, using the skills of a team of creative experts, they work out how to make sure their message is heard by the right people, whether that’s through a unique film, a leaflet or poster campaign, a website, an event or workshop.

Real people, real stories, real change.

The team are based all over the country and are so friendly. We discussed lots about the future of video, how non profits can be sustainable. I was very interested in how to make so much emotionally charged videos. It was clear to me that this organisation put a lot of trust in the young person.

Watch this video and you will see the impact and quality of this work thats has been using the wonderful medium of film.

If you would like to view their videos and get updated subsribe to their YouTube channel
Follow them on twitter

If you are looking to engage with a young audience and hear their voice around a topic I would suggest using this organisation to help you with that so the young people can help you with their campaigns.

Another amazing healthcare campaign Fixing Eating Disorders
